About The Lobster Pot
Located at 16901 Harper Ave, Detroit, MI 48224, The Lobster Pot operates as a seafood market serving Detroit in Michigan. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Asian grocery stores and supermarkets stock ingredients, snacks and household goods that general American supermarkets often do not carry, organized by category rather than by country of origin in most stores. Produce and live or fresh seafood sections are usually at the back or side of the store, and weekend mornings bring the largest crowds and freshest restock. Many larger Asian supermarkets include a hot deli or food court counter selling prepared meals by the pound or as fixed plates, useful for a quick lunch while shopping. Labels are frequently bilingual or untranslated, so store staff can usually help locate a specific ingredient if you ask. Cash, cards and mobile pay are all commonly accepted at larger chains; smaller specialty shops may be cash-preferred.
Hours are published for 5 days a week. On most of those days it is open 10 amβ5 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (313) 882-7400. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is thelobsterpotdetroit.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.9 out of 5 from 99 reviews, which is a strong result for a seafood market in Detroit and suggests consistent service.
Detroit is in Michigan, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Detroit follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

So happy to have met Katie. What a great experience buying delicious, fresh fish. The Lobster Pot is my new go to fishmonger. Canβt believe I didnβt know about this place. I created a delicious seafood paella, with several ingredients from the lobster pot. Everybody at my party had compliments about the fish.

Had a wonderful experience talking to the owner today. Provided some delicious Chilean Sea Bass with some tips on how to cook it. Will most definitely be back to try a wider selection of what they have to offer.

Hands down the best place for seafood in Metro Detroit. Katie is awesome and is always willing to talk about the products with you. Fresh options change all the time, which gives you a great chance to try fish you haven't seen before. I can't recommend this place enough. I'm in there pretty much every week, and I always get great service.
